Meet Jack Zhong.
I build small, useful corners of the internet for people who like to understand how things work. DecodeNest is my playground for ciphers, text, and the quiet satisfaction of a tool that does exactly what it promises.
My favorite projects sit at the intersection of clarity and play: a clean interface, a little bit of magic, and no unnecessary ceremony. I care about making technical ideas feel approachable without sanding away their character.
When I am not refining a tiny interaction, I am probably collecting good questions, simplifying a complicated workflow, or turning a late-night idea into something you can use in a browser.
“Make it useful. Make it understandable. Leave room for curiosity.”
What guides the work
- Simple first. Every control should earn its place.
- Private by default. Small tools should not need to know more than they need.
- Learning is a feature. Good explanations make useful tools even better.
- Details matter. The last 10% is often where trust is built.
Why DecodeNest exists
Not every problem needs a platform, an account, or a complicated setup. Sometimes you just need a quick place to decode a message, convert a string, or understand a format before moving on with your day.
DecodeNest is designed around that moment: open, explore, get an answer, and keep going. It is intentionally small—and that is part of the point.
